About

Pianist Alex Remy is known throughout Colorado and Utah for her work as an emotionally evocative and conscientious musician. After initiating an arts and music program for inmates at a correctional facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was inspired to transition out of mental health work and begin her training as a professional pianist. Since then, she has concentrated on developing repertoire that ranges from Bach to Rachmaninoff, and has been invited to guest perform at Pikes Peak Community College, featured in private concerts, and sought out for her work as an attentive accompanist for a variety of instrumentalists. In addition, Alex Remy has formed a studio to teach pianists of all ages, and been invited to intern for the Colorado Springs Chorale.

As a young musician, Alex Remy studied with regionally acclaimed pianist Sara McDaniel. In 2012, she auditioned for CU Boulder’s College of Music, where she now studies with Julliard-trained pianists Andrew Cooperstock and Hsing-ay Hsu. She lives in Colorado with her husband and pets, and is commuting to CU Boulder while she completes her degree in piano performance. Additionally, in her time outside of music, she is a freelance artist and photographer.
