Signs of Spring | Colorado Springs Photography

Well, we finally got a sunny weekend--for a few hours at least, on Sunday. My husband and I headed out for a pre-sunset walk and I took some photos while everything was lit with that gorgeous golden tone. Thankfully, I was able to get a few shots I've been wanting (particularly the new shoots of green grass). Tess also let me get a few photos of her while she intently watched an older couple walking up the path. She was VERY happy to be outside.

Glimpse of summer

In true Colorado fashion, the weather is hiccuping back and forth between winter and spring right now--sunny and warm for a day (or afternoon!), followed by snowfall or chilly wind. This has made it tough to plan any hikes or photo walks, but I'm very happy to report that blades of green grass are starting to poke through the dry winter ground. I know it will be a beautiful spring once it officially arrives, but in the meantime, here's one of the last photos I took in Utah with my point-and-shoot camera. It was a warm, bright day with life peeking out from ever corner.
